Event Description:
This session focuses on the mental, emotional and behavioral health of children and youth and the adults they will become. Participants will be inspired to shift the narrative from trauma and toxic stress to positive childhood experiences and relational health and systems to build community and connection as well as to flourish. About the Presenter: Dr. Bethell is a Professor at Johns Hopkins University in the Bloomberg School of Public Health. Her research, education and advocacy work focuses on translation of the science of child development and human potential. She has been featured on National Public Radio, provided testimony to the U.S. Congress, has published dozens of peer-reviewed studies and has led national efforts that promote relational health as the cornerstone of well-being for children, families and communities.
