Three fools set sail from the Port of Styx - the bustling center of all inter-dimensional shipping and cargo bound for a world beyond the horizon.

Steered by a mysteriously absent captain and his skeleton crew, their ship traverses a vast and tumultuous ocean. Along the way, its passengers encounter unusual sea-creatures and raucous storms, stars that dance and jellyfish that float, among many other peculiarities. Under layers of colorful fabric and dancing cardboard, "Ship of Fools" deals with themes of loss and acceptance, depicting a wondrous unknown and speaking to the power of friendship and love.

A nautical journey for all ages, Ship of Fools is filled to the brim with giant puppets, transforming sets, masks, and dance - and all set to live, original music. Ship of Fools is brought to life by 3 mimes, 3 musicians, and 6 puppeteers.

The Port Angeles Fine Arts Center is thrilled to bring you this performance by String and Shadow Puppet Theater, a multidisciplinary performance collective based in Olympic, Washington.

The performance will take place in the meadow of Webster's Woods. Ice cream will be available for purchase from local favorite, Welly's Ice Cream!

Bring a lawn chair, blanket, and a picnic, and enjoy a perfect summer night getting lost in this fantastical story!
