Name: Sequim City Band Presents “Music Where You Bark” as Part of KSQM’s Pet Lovers Day
Date: September 10, 2022
Time: 1:30 PM - 3:00 PM PDT
Event Description:
Sequim City Band’s final concert of the summer “Concerts at the James” series is the concluding event of KSQM’s Pet Lover’s Day. All musical pieces will relate to various animals that share our homes and hearts. The band honors man’s best friend with “That Old Hound Dog Rag”, a modern rag, and “A Whistler and His Dog”. There are nods to animated talking dogs (“Selections from Disney/Pixar’s UP”) and singing-dancing cats (“Memory” from Cats by Andrew Lloyd Webber and “The Waltzing Cat” by Leroy Anderson). Horses and fish are also featured in this unique pet-centered concert. Bring your pets – be they dogs, cats, lizards, or birds – and help the Sequim City Band honor the pets in our lives. Both the concert and on-site parking are free. Companion animals are invited as audience members. Bring a lawn chair or blanket and a wide-brimmed hat or umbrella for all of that Sequim sun and spend the afternoon enjoying live music performed by our very own community band.
