Event Description:
The PNW Community Coral Reef Project is a collaborative fiber art installation which will be installed in Lincoln City, Oregon September 22, 2023. All knitters, crocheters, felters and fiber artists are welcome to create corals and marine creatures to include in the installation. With the health of our oceans and coral reefs as the focus, crafters are invited to consider making bleached corals or corals from recycled objects such as video tape, or reclaimed plastic yarn or cordage. Corals and creatures made from any type of yarn are also welcomed. Crafters are invited to come to this event, sit and craft corals, get inspiration and free patterns. A small portion of our coral reef will be on display.
