Your ticket includes your choice of chicken marsala (gf) or stuffed portobello mushroom (Veg/gf) entree, salad & sides, dessert, coffee and a glass of wine. Individual tickets are $95, and can be purchased in a block of 8 to seat an entire table.
Jackie Ogden, Ph.D.
“Embracing the Mission of the Future”
Dr. Ogden brings over 35 years as an experienced executive in the animal and conservation world. Jackie recently retired after 19 years with The Walt Disney Company, where she served as Vice President, Animals, Science, and Environment for Walt Disney Parks and Resorts. In this role, she was responsible for leading animal care, conservation, and environmental sustainability for the Disney parks around the world, as well as consulting with the Disney company as a whole regarding the portrayal of animals in various media.
During her career Dr. Ogden also worked for the San Diego Zoo and Zoo Atlanta. She has served on a variety of non-profit boards, including the Association of Zoos and Aquariums where she served as Chairperson of the Board, The Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund International, Emerging Wildlife Conservation Leaders, and GRACE: The Gorilla Rehabilitation and Conservation Education Center. She also has served on numerous advisory boards for projects related to conservation education and informal learning, social science, visitor research, and conservation psychology. Currently, Dr. Ogden serves as a senior advisor for Canopy Strategic Partners, a premiere consulting firm in the nature-based community where she focuses on strategic planning, leadership, and organizational culture, as well as serving as the principal and founder of Natural Leadership LLC, her executive coaching practice.
She received her Ph.D. in general/experimental psychology with a specialization in animal behavior from the Georgia Institute of Technology, and has published research on topics related to animal behavior and conservation, as well as inspiring people to conservation action. She is extremely passionate about the challenges facing our world, and the responsibility of cultural organizations such as discovery centers and aquariums to inspire people to care about and for our planet.
