Legislative Listening Session

Young voters and soon-to-be voters ages 16-29 are invited to meet with local legislators. Representative Mike Chapman and Representative Steve Tharinger will be in attendance from the 24th Legislative District to the Washington State House of Representatives. Adam Bernbaum of Senator Kevin Van de Wege’s office from the 24th Legislative District to the Washington State Senate will attend on the Senator’s behalf. Each will provide a brief introduction to their work, including special projects of interest and recently sponsored bills. After introductions, the audience will divide into smaller groups based on topics of interest expressed by attendees. Participants will have the opportunity to express concerns and share experiences directly with Representatives Chapman and Tharinger, and Legislative Assistant Bernbaum. Members of the League of Women Voters of Clallam County will be present to take notes for the legislators. Snacks will be provided.
