Port Angeles 4th of July Celebration

The Port Angeles Chamber of Commerce is proud to help organize and produce the annual 4th of July celebration in downtown Port Angeles and on the city's picturesque waterfront.  We are planning yet another, awesome, all-day-long patriotic festival downtown, including a major evening concert downtown featuring Abbey Road LIVE (a nationally touring Beatles cover band), activities for children and families at the Gateway Transit Center, a spectacular parade that starts at 6pm, and a huge fireworks show along the Port Angeles waterfront, west of the Black Ball ferry dock that starts at dark (around 10:15pm) – while KONP broadcasts patriotic music.

This year we are bringing back many of the popular activities from the pre-pandemic years.  Attending and participating in all of these activities is free (unless otherwise listed):

11:00am APPLE PIE BAKING CONTEST --
deliver your pie to the judges at the Port Angeles Wharf, next to the Port Angeles Visitor Center.  Judging starts at 11:30am.  Prizes for 1st thru 3rd!

3:00pm LAWNMOWER DERBY -- join the fun in the parking lot at 121 W Front St (same location as the Winter Ice Village in winter), 3:00pm-5:00pm

6:00pm – 4th OF JULY PARADE -- throughout downtown.  The judges’ stand and announcers will be located at the intersection of Front and Laurel Streets.  Again this year, we are very excited to be able to award prizes to the most outstanding parade entries.  Entry fee is $20 (free for youth and veteran groups).  Thanks in advance to everyone who is working hard to put together outstanding floats.  The winner of outstanding float will receive $1,000 -- and there are many more cash prizes for quality parade entries.
PARADE Application and route information is HERE.
Many thanks, yet again, to Kitsap Bank for sponsoring and helping organize our parade!

8:00pm – BEATLES TRIBUTE CONCERT -- After the parade, make your way to the parking lot area where the Winter Ice Village sets up in the winter, where the Abbey Road LIVE concert will begin at 8:00pm.  Abbey Road LIVE is a nationally touring Beatles cover band.
The concert will end just before the fireworks begin – around 10:15pm

10:15pm – FIREWORKS -- at about 10:15pm (start time depends on darkness), the annual fireworks show will begin, accompanied by music played on local radio station KONP (AM1450, FM101.7), and should be visible throughout much of the city, but any place in the downtown area will be great for viewing.  This year’s fireworks show, which is expected to be the most spectacular ever seen in Port Angeles Harbor, is made possible by a very generous donation from ASTOUND Broadband (formerly WAVE Broadband).
